Aerendir® is the pioneer of a physiological technology for authentication, identification, and encryption — founded on a single conviction: that a live physiological signal is the intrinsic answer to trust in a connected world, and that privacy is a right to be engineered in, not bolted on. In short, our aim is to give our customers choices and to build First Amendment rights into our products and the code of the Internet.
Give everyone the fundamental right to privacy
as technology shapes a new generation.
We think of it as building the First Amendment rights into the code of the Internet and inside our products. Every individual should decide when, and with whom, their personal data is shared — not because they have something to hide, but because the choice itself is the point. Aerendir exists to create and give that choice.
Aerendir was founded in 2015 by neurophysiologist Dr. Martin A. Zizi and entrepreneur Pierfrancesco Pozzi Rocco, on the idea that the body itself can be the credential. Touch Technology® reads the involuntary micro-vibrations a living person produces while holding a device, and NeuroPrint® turns them into a private identifier — a brain scan from your hand.
Scaling the connected world safely means moving trust off the cloud and to the edge. Aerendir, The Mist Company™ brings cloud-grade computing power to the device, so personal data never has to leave it. The Mist is the droplets of the cloud that you are fully in control of, making a user-centric bubble across a person’s connected objects. This is the edge of the Edge.
Every relationship — personal, professional, commercial, or governmental — depends on trusting the other party. A breach of confidentiality is a breach of trust, so confidentiality is something we engineer, not promise.
The world’s most valuable resource is no longer oil but data. In a world that feeds everything to centralized AI, physiology is the last frontier between humans and machines — and the safest place to keep it is on your own device.
We build tools that make the internet real again without compromising security: a safety bubble for the digital world, where a living human — not a bot or a clone — is the proof.
MD, PhD by training, polymath by habit, and curious by nature. He is trained in molecular physiology, public health, and biophysics, and the inventor behind Aerendir’s technology. Formerly Chief Scientific Officer of Belgian Defense and a professor of physiology at KU Leuven and the Free University of Brussels, he has carried out expert missions for the UN and the biopharmaceutical industry. He was a highly sought advisor and a bio-weapons inspector for the US. Martin is also a TEDx speaker and a Forbes Technology Council contributor. He’s the repository of the worst jokes in the valley :)
Benoît built his career at the intersection of secure banking transactions, digital identity, and international trade. He held senior roles at Worldline, Ingenico, and the World Customs Organization, preceded by early startup environments. A graduate of Georgia Tech and SKEMA Business School, he brings deep institutional fluency and a proven track record in technology commercialization, strategic partnerships, and go-to-market execution.
Kitae is an engineer with over 25 years of experience in semiconductor and embedded systems development, combining expertise in SoC design, firmware architecture, and product commercialization. His silicon-level hardware design background provides a foundational understanding of hardware-software boundaries, driving successful delivery of commercial products from concept through production. With master’s degrees in both Computer Science from Yonsei University and Intellectual Property from KAIST, he brings expertise at the intersection of engineering and intellectual property, supporting patent strategy, technology assessment, and IP portfolio development in embedded systems.
Bizhan is a systems architect and engineering leader with deep roots in embedded Linux, cloud infrastructure, and intelligent automation. His career spans Sun Microsystems, Cisco, Amazon, and Nio — where he designed and delivered enterprise-grade platforms across networking, cloud, and automotive domains. He holds a Master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona, and brings rare fluency across the full stack: from firmware and performance engineering to CI/CD automation and emerging ML applications.
Mohammed is a scientist and technology leader specializing in cybersecurity, digital identity, machine learning, and secure protocol engineering. As Chief Scientific Officer at Aerendir Mobile, he directs the research and implementation of biometric authentication and cryptographic access-control systems. His research appointments at Clemson University, Johns Hopkins University, Northern Arizona University, and UC Irvine focused on authentication, key management, post-quantum cryptography, and distributed secure systems, bridging fundamental research with deployable security solutions.
Co-founder and CEO of Worldstone Ventures (Luxembourg), and an entrepreneur and investor across the EU for three decades, with successful exits in both private and publicly listed companies.
